Hubb’s Groove is a sensational group from Cleveland that plays jazz, soul, gospel, classical and R&B music. The band was founded in 1995 under the name “Moment’s Notice,” and featured founding band members Rodney Hubbard, Cliff Coleson, David Heman, Eddie Baccus Jr. and Robert Hubbard Jr.
As various band members went out on tour, the Hubb’s Groove lineup has changed, with the introduction of musicians Robert White, Andrew Braxton, Keith Mckelly, Jermaine Lockhart, Tony Pulizzi and Walter Barnes Jr. In 2000, the band changed its name to “Straight to the Point,” then again in 2004 to “Change on Five,” before arriving at its final destination, “Hubb’s Groove” in 2006.
The band has shared the stage with legendary performers such as Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, Earth Wind & Fire, Wayman Tisdale and Pieces of a Dream, to name a few.
