Alvin Frazier From sharing the stage with Parliament / Funkadelic, Chanté Moore, The Ohio Players, Najee & more, Cleveland-native singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor brings his own R&B, soul & jazz sound in a captivating return appearance at BLU!

Gifted and versatile are two words that best describe singer, songwriter, musician, producer, composer actor & director alvin frazier. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, alvin has been singing since the age of two and pecking at the keys since the age of three. A self-taught musician, alvin would teach himself to play 4 instruments; piano, guitar, bass & drums. Growing up with 2 musician parents it was inevitable that young alvin would also pursue a path in music and the arts. Over the years he would do just that, forming music groups throughout his formative years ranging in styles from R&B, Hip-Hop, Gospel to Jazz and has built a reputation for being a dynamic performer and entertainer who knows how to connect with his audience.
 

 
alvin has released and produced 2 albums as a vocalist, “Love & Faith: Vol. 1” (2006) and “A Wonderful Love: Love & Faith Vol. 2” (2013). His latest project “A Wonderful Love: Love & Faith Vol. 2” entered the UK Soul Chart at #27 and within a few weeks reach #2. Both albums were also recognized as one of the Best R&B / Soul albums of 2007 & 2013 in Japan. A few years ago, alvin took his sound overseas for a successful tour of Japan & South Korea with the U.S. Armed Forces. An accomplished vocalist, musician and performer alvin has shared the stage with the likes of George Clinton w/ Parliament – Funkadelic, The Ohio Players, Chante’ Moore, Eric Roberson, Brandon Williams, Kenny Lattimore, Avery Sunshine, Najee and Angie Stone. He is currently completing his third album “RIVER” scheduled for release in early 2018. The lead single “Lost in Love” has already begun to create a buzz in anticipation of the new album.
 
Aside from performing and touring, alvin is also an accomplished actor and has appeared in over 10 films. Recently appearing in the highly-anticipated Miles Davis biopic “Miles Ahead” with Don Cheadle, the Lifetime film “With this Ring” with Jill Scott, Regina Hall, Eve & Gabrielle Union and toured as the leading man in the stage play “SOULmate?” opposite actress /singer Taral Hicks of the films “Belly” & “A Bronx Tale. To say that alvin frazier is one of “The Hardest Working Men in Show business” would be an understatement. He is the definition of a “true” entertainer / artist.
