Cleveland-based tenor saxophonist, Tom First, has an unmistakable sound and undeniably masterful technique of the horn which has made him a staple of the Northeast Ohio music scene for many years. As a featured member of Ernie Krivda & the Fat Tuesday Big Band as well as Mojo: The Generations Big Band, First now presents his new quintet, The First Five, performing compositions by Jerry Bergonzi, Steve Grossman, Tom Harrell, and Charles Mingus as well as swingin’ classic jazz standards.
