Miss Alexandra Huntingdon The nom de plume of dynamic singer, songwriter, & performance-artist, Megan Elk, "Miss Alexandra Huntingdon" brings her theatrical & dynamic cabaret stylings to BLU with a lively show mixed with jazz, blues, musical theater & more! Featuring Joe Leaman, John Kokoczka, Dan Kshywonis.

Miss Alexandra Huntingdon’s jazz and blues drenched original songs call to mind the early 20th century, while the scathingly subversive content of her lyricism is entirely modern day.

Ever the show-woman, Miss Huntingdon’s performances are noted for her passion of both grand avant-garde couture and audience participation.

Her 2015 album release, “Miss Alexandra Huntingdon & the Gentlemen’s Intermission: Live at Survival Kit,” showcases her brazen stage show alongside a very lively & engaged audience.

This is going to be a very special night of humor-filled, vaudeville-style throwback at BLU Jazz+, so don’t miss it! Sit back and enjoy a drink with the “Chanteuse Extraordinaire” as she takes you on a musical journey unlike any other you’ve been on – get your tickets today!

About Miss Alexandra Huntingdon

Having resigned herself to a life of solitude, Miss Alexandra Huntingdon returned home from the affairs of the day, poured herself a drink (Manhattan on the rocks, dry), and proceeded to the piano. An intricate design of concentric watermarks had begun to paint itself in the finish of the old spinet in the parlor, as night after night she played (and night after night she drank). She stared at the ever¬blossoming emblem of habit in dismay. How many evenings had she sat there, playing the old songs?

She opened the old book and tried to play ‘Swanee’, but her voice had suddenly fallen faint and the words came out wrong. She longed to sing the songs of her own life but, turning frantically the pages of the old book, realized there were none. She closed the old book and put it back in its place. She poured herself another drink.

When she came to the next morning, she found 10 neatly stacked pieces of paper at the spinet where the old book had been (though the book itself seemed to have vanished completely). On each page was a story. In each story, the truth. So much truth in fact, that Miss Alexandra Huntingdon saw fit to change all names in order to protect both the innocent and the guilty. Perhaps she would even change her own name, she thought. But let’s not get carried away just yet…
