Jazz singer, Ki Allen, has worked with almost every important rhythm section in Northeast Ohio, enjoying particularly long and fruitful associations with legendary pianists Neal Creque, Ace Carter, Skeet Ross, Eddy Backu, Dave Thomas, and Jackie Warren; guitarists Bob Fraser, Bob Ferrazza and double bassists Peter Dominguez, Chink Stevenson, Glen Holmes, Daniel Stein; drummers Ron Godale & Val Kent. She constantly challenges herself and, as a result, her repertoire is ever expanding. Ki has the uncanny ability to charm a young audience while at the same time, managing to surprise jazz aficionados.
Allen performs in concerts, at The Bop Stop, Nighttown, BLU Jazz+, Tri-C JazzFest, Walsh College, Cain Park, The Jazz Heritage Orchestra and in concert at the Hanna Theater with Sean Jones and the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. Ki Allen currently performs every Monday night with The Skatch Anderseen Orchestra in Cleveland, Ohio lead by Eric Dregne and Scott McKee. Allen also occasionally performs with the Ernie Krivda’s Fat Tuesday Big Band.
