Trumpeter Jack Schantz currently serves as the Director of the University of Akron Jazz Studies program and performs actively with the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra (a group he served as Artistic Director from 1994-2009). With an impressive resume that includes performances with Mel Torme, Sarah Vaughan, Tony Bennett, Cleo Laine, Jack Jones, Nancy Wilson and Diane Schuur, we are very fortunate to have such a great jazz performer and educator right here in Akron!
