On Sunday, November 12, 2017, Children’s Concert Society of Akron, OH (CCS) will be celebrating their 70th year in Summit County with an evening of jazz featuring The Theron Brown Quartet. Also featured will be three former Scholastic Composer’s Winners—Serena Guo, from Revere Middle School, Cole Johnson from Firestone High School, and Sarah Mellinger, a sophomore at Hiram College.
This special event takes place at BLU Jazz+ (47 N. Market St.) and will feature generous New Orleans inspired hors d’oeuvres from their newly opened BLU Plate restaurant. The evening costs $45 and reservations can be made by calling the CCS office at 330-972-2504.
